What is the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival?
It is the largest theatre festival in the world.
In 2026, Over 25 days, there were 4,232 shows from 77 countries, 61,277 performances across 306 venues, and 5,500 artists.
The only events that sell more tickets are the World Cup and the Olympics.
And it is open to anyone who can find a space and wants to put on a show.
