Call for Manifesto 4

16 March 2014

We're looking for plays to be included in the next volume of the Manifesto Series. Here's the scoop.

Since 1991, Rain City Projects has been dedicated to supporting and promoting professional playwrights and their work. To that end we develop projects to raise the profile of the playwright within the working theater community, and to further an understanding of the playwright's role to the larger community that makes up the audience.

Past PROJECTS include:

- Publishing almost two hundred individual scripts.

- Publishing and circulating a monthly newspaper serving the Seattle theater community.

Current PROJECTS include:

- Publishing anthologies of new work, called the MANIFESTO SERIES, edited by nationally prominent playwrights connected to the Pacific Northwest. These books are distributed with an abundance of enthusiasm to theaters and universities all over the world, free of charge.

- Giving SWEETNESS GRANTS to Pacific Northwest playwrights when their work is produced away from home.

- Igniting solidarity in the Seattle playwrighting community with lively BRUNCHES, SALONS, READINGS, and SPEED DATING between writers and directors.

Rain City Projects is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.
